Thank you
for taking a few minutes to get to know me and why I am running to be a governing member on the Mesa School Board.

First of all, I am MPS District’s biggest fan! While there are always things to improve on, Mesa Public Schools is seen as a leader in innovation, student achievement and comprehensive development of our kids. Great things are happening!

I am a 3rd generation student of Mesa Public schools and all 7 of our children have attended or now attend in the district. We’ve all richly benefited from so many quality teachers, coaches, administrators, and experiences that come from Mesa Public Schools.

EXPERIENCE I served for 3 years on the MPS Planning and Boundary committee where we reviewed student data concerning changes in school attendance areas and offered long-range development plans giving recommendations to the Governing Board.

I currently serve as the Booster Club President at Westwood High School. My wife has served as PTO president, and I’ve been involved in a variety of ways supporting our local schools for decades.

As a small business owner and employer of over 30 employees, I know that better communication and collaboration produces better outcomes. I know the value of using our budget wisely. My business experience allows me to perceive where our budget can be allocated wisely and efficiently so that our tax dollars are not wasted.
CHAMPION FOR OUR KIDS, EDUCATORS AND SCHOOLS Many of Arizona’s best and brightest graduates come from Mesa Public Schools, as a result of the quality education they receive in our district.

I work well with others, value others' strengths, and always try to see all sides before making a decision. I will be a true team member in every sense of the word. I’m committed to finding solutions to problems by speaking to other boards and professionals to see what is working for them. I will diligently and clearly communicate with our community of parents, students, teachers and staff to make the decisions that best favor the mission of our district and the needs of our children.

MY WEAKNESSES Just ask my wife, I’m sure she can come up with several!
